Day 1 - Sanding Floors on First Floor and....

Friday started at 6:30 am for Greg as he got up to go rent the sander.  Lucky me got to sleep in a little longer.  Once Greg returned with the sander around 8 am, we got started.  He ran the big sander while I used our hand-held sanders and hand scraper to get in the corners and difficult areas.  By late afternoon we were cleaning up the floors and thinking we were a little ahead of schedule.  

So.....we decided to make this a long day/night and stain the floors.  Goal is to get 2 coats on tonight, sleep while it dries.  Then we can put the top coat on Saturday and still have Sunday and Monday of our 4-day weekend. Sounds like a good idea...hope we are still thinking that later tonight.
